Our approach step by step

In five steps, you’ll see how we turned the challenge of this project into an efficient, sustainable solution.

The challenge

The existing 50-liter capacity AS50 plant was no longer adequate. This made it increasingly difficult to efficiently clean paint tools and properly dispose of the contaminated rinse water.

The growth in the number of students created structural capacity problems. The entire plant was sometimes filled after only half a block of lessons. As a result, the purification process had to be restarted several times.

The first analysis

The existing 50-liter capacity AS50 plant was no longer adequate. This made it increasingly difficult to efficiently clean paint tools and properly dispose of the contaminated rinse water.

The growth in the number of students created structural capacity problems. The entire plant was sometimes filled after only half a block of lessons. As a result, the purification process had to be restarted several times.

The solution

Trivec bought back the existing AS50 plant for a trade-in fee. This plant will be completely cleaned and technically overhauled for reuse.

This trade-in allowed the investment amount for a new AS120 rinse water system to be reduced. With a capacity of 120 liters, Dockinga College now has enough space to clean paint tools on a daily basis and process the rinse water responsibly.

The existing brush cleaner and high-pressure pump were still functioning well. These were therefore reinstalled on the new system.

The implementation

Completion took place just before the summer vacation. As a result, the practical classroom was ready in time for the start of the new school year.

We delivered the new installation, connected it and made it ready for use. The existing accessories were reassembled. We immediately took the old installation for overhaul and reuse.

The result

Dockinga College now has sufficient capacity for cleaning brushes and mini rollers, even with a growing number of students.

The new installation provides more practical space in the classroom and allows for more efficient handling of rinse water.

The trade-in allowance and reuse of accessories kept the investment limited. In addition, the old installation gets a second life after overhaul.

Van Vuuren Deuren produces high-quality doors where waste water is released daily in the gluing line. Increasing volumes of rinse water created a need to expand the existing waste water processing system. To ensure continuity and to set up the process in a more user-friendly and efficient way, Trivec was called in for a suitable custom solution.
RAI Amsterdam, international event venue, was looking for an efficient and safe solution for cleaning painting tools and processing released wastewater during set-up and take-down periods. To test the feasibility of various set-up options, it was decided to conduct a hands-on pilot together with Trivec B.V.
Dockinga College in Dokkum provides the Construction, Living & Interior (BWI) course. During the lessons, many brushes and mini rollers are used daily. Proper cleaning of tools and responsible processing of rinse water are therefore important. However, the existing rinse water installation with a capacity of 50 liters became too small due to the growth in the number of students. Dockinga College asked Trivec to help think of a solution that would better suit current practice and future growth.
