About the Trivec eco flushing water system

Why do painters use a rinse water system?

Cleaning brushes, rollers and spray equipment releases paint rinse water. Although it is not allowed, in practice, paint rinse water still often ends up in the sewer. This water contains chemicals, microplastics and other harmful substances.  Once in the sewer, this paint water is diluted and spreads over thousands of gallons of water.

Sewage treatment plants are not equipped for this: they purify mainly with bacteria, which do not break down these plastic particles.

The result? Much of this pollution eventually ends up in our surface water, and thus in fish, plants and even our groundwater.

With a Trivec Eco rinse water system, you process this rinse water independently and responsibly, simply at your own workplace.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Here you’ll find answers to the most common questions about our installations, use and maintenance. So you know exactly what to expect before you get started.

For which wastewater streams is a flushing water plant suitable?
The plants are only suitable for water-based waste streams. Originating from, for example, water-based lacquer, paint, stain, glue and ink.
Rinse water systems are suitable for cleaning all kinds of materials contaminated with water-based products. This often involves rollers, brushes, spray equipment or machine parts.
During the rinsing process, coagulant is added to the rinse water. This causes paint particles to clump together to form flakes. These flakes can then be filtered out of the water.
Maintenance of a rinse water plant is limited. This consists mainly of changing the filters in a timely manner and cleaning the sink and mixers regularly.
Rinse water systems are used in workshops where water-based paint, varnish, glue or ink is handled. Think of painting companies, paint shops, interior builders, educational institutions and other workshops where tools are regularly cleaned.
