Our approach step by step

In five steps, you’ll see how we turned the challenge of this project into an efficient, sustainable solution.

The challenge

The existing treatment setup did not provide sufficient capacity for the amount of wastewater from the glue line (approximately 100-200 liters per day). This required multiple flushing cycles. In addition, it lacked the flexibility to treat wastewater from several days in one cycle.

Filter baskets scattered around the plant and further optimization of rinsing process was desired.

The first analysis

The existing treatment setup did not provide sufficient capacity for the amount of wastewater from the glue line (approximately 100-200 liters per day). This required multiple flushing cycles. In addition, it lacked the flexibility to treat wastewater from several days in one cycle.

Filter baskets scattered around the plant and further optimization of rinsing process was desired.

The solution

Trivec recommended a replacement AC400 water treatment plant with a capacity of 400 liters per cycle.

Installation:

Processes one to two days of wastewater in one batch.

Operates with automatic filling of preset amounts of dirty and clean water.

Features an integrated stainless steel drain tank with space for seven filter baskets.

Allows reuse of purified water for optimal dilution.

Central cleaning site for machine parts and wastewater deposit

The implementation

The installation will be connected to the existing IBC buffer setup, with dirty water being pumped to the reactor at a desired time. After installation and delivery, the Trivec the process completely to the way it works within current processes. Employees receive extensive instruction on operation, dosing of coagulant and performing rinse cycles, so that the installation can be used efficiently right away.

The result

With the new AC400 plant, Van Vuuren Deuren has significantly more treatment capacity. Wastewater from several days can be treated in one cycle, saving time.

The extensive integrated drain facility ensures that multiple cycles can be processed sequentially during busy periods. The possibility of water recycling ensures a more efficient and sustainable reducing water consumption. The result is a user-friendly process, fewer manual operations and a future-proof wastewater treatment facility.

Van Vuuren Deuren produces high-quality doors where waste water is released daily in the gluing line. Increasing volumes of rinse water created a need to expand the existing waste water processing system. To ensure continuity and to set up the process in a more user-friendly and efficient way, Trivec was called in for a suitable custom solution.
RAI Amsterdam, international event venue, was looking for an efficient and safe solution for cleaning painting tools and processing released wastewater during set-up and take-down periods. To test the feasibility of various set-up options, it was decided to conduct a hands-on pilot together with Trivec B.V.
Dockinga College in Dokkum provides the Construction, Living & Interior (BWI) course. During the lessons, many brushes and mini rollers are used daily. Proper cleaning of tools and responsible processing of rinse water are therefore important. However, the existing rinse water installation with a capacity of 50 liters became too small due to the growth in the number of students. Dockinga College asked Trivec to help think of a solution that would better suit current practice and future growth.
